There is a violent guitar slide - then the alto voice tells a tale of woe, interspersed with guitar special effects representing the flashes and bangs of fuses blowing. Enjoy a mini-roller-coaster of domestic ineptitude.
Having had a fuse melt dramatically a couple of nights ago (see picture!), I was moved to upload my setting of EO Parrot`s "The mending of fuses", which I sang many years ago.

EO Parrot`s poem is a parody of Henry Reed`s "The naming of parts", which you can read here An alternative version as a video can now be seen and heard here
Song Lyrics
Tonight we shall have the mending of fuses.
Yesterday we had cleaning of wastepipes
And tomorrow morning we shall have horrors we dare not imagine
But tonight we have mending of fuses
For convenience, fuse boxes are located in the darkest and most inaccessible corner of the domicile
Groping among spiders` webs
I know whichever I choose first
The one I wanted will be last...[etc]
